Mastercard Platinum, World and World Elite cardholders can now travel with greater peace of mind following the pan-Asian launch of Mastercard Flight Delay Pass(1) by Mastercard in partnership with Collinson. The first-of-its-kind programme in the region, Mastercard Flight Delay Pass provides cardholders, and their travel companions, with complimentary access to over 850 LoungeKey™ airport lounges around the world, should their flight be delayed by two hours or more(2). This privilege is exclusive to Mastercard cardholders regardless of the airline they fly with, the ticket they hold or the affinity programme they are members of. Cardholders need not hold a separate membership to take advantage of the privilege. Jenn Ong, Head of Consumer Credit, Asia Pacific, Mastercard, said: "Whether it's agonizing over missing a flight leg, or feeling lost at an unfamiliar airport, plane delays can certainly sour a trip. Our travel privileges are designed not only to help cardholders maximize what they value most: time, connection and experiences, but also provide them with peace of mind, whenever and wherever they are. As such, we seek to help travellers make the most of their time at the airport too." Kevin Goldmintz, Executive Vice President for Asia Pacific at Collinson, added: "The Mastercard Flight Delay Pass has been added as a benefit on to selected Platinum, World and World Elite cards across Asia Pacific. The service is already available in English, simplified and traditional Chinese and other languages will follow. "We're delighted to have partnered with Mastercard to provide its valued customers with a real-time benefit in the event of a significant flight delay. Mastercard can help its customers make the best of an unfortunate situation as soon as the flight is delayed, by issuing a lounge access code via SMS and email to cardholders that have registered their flight." To be eligible for a complimentary lounge pass, Mastercard cardholders are required to register their flight details at www.mastercard.com/flightdelaypass at least six hours prior to scheduled departure. Cardholders may register up to two flights per eligible card during the period of this benefit. Information about participating lounges including lounge locations, available amenities, operating hours and guest policies, is available at: https://loungefinder.loungekey.com/Pass.
